Denali Runestone

Eighty miles within the wilderness of Denali National Park and Preserve in central Alaska (63° N latitude) stands this stone appearing like the ancient rune stones of Northern lore.  In the background looms massive Mt. McKinley, at 20,237' the tallest mountain in North America.  The mountain, originally named Denali, which means "Great One" in Native dialect, is surrounded by a wilderness preserve that is 2,000 square miles larger than the state of Massachusetts.

Denali is our namesake.  In esoteric minds this mountain is known to be one of the major Earth power points on the planet.  Its energies are strong, vital and quickening.  Alaska contains within its vast and open spaces some of the last unspoiled wilderness in North America, which means the landscape resonates with beauty and natural energies similar to the conditions under which the Northern spiritual traditions were formulated.  It is within this energy envelope that we recieve our inspirations and write our lessons.

For over 60 years, since my first coming upon this standing stone some 80 miles inside Denali National Park, I have said to others, "If you ever want to find me in spirit, just go to the stone and I'll meet you there".

This is for you as you reach for the energies here at Denali during your meditations.  HERE is where you will find me and other Denali students in our great circle of energies.
